The People Behind The Work
Our Story
Le Claires began with a simple observation.
Independent businesses are often expected to make some of the biggest commercial decisions they'll ever face using advice that rarely reflects the reality of running one.
After years working with national brands and larger organisations, we wanted to work closer to the decisions that genuinely shape businesses.
The conversations where strategy becomes practical, budgets matter and every investment has to count.
That's why we built Le Claires.
Today we work alongside founders, family businesses and ambitious independent companies, helping them make better commercial decisions, build stronger brands and create the foundations for sustainable growth.
Built in Cambridge, Le Claires works with independent businesses locally and across the UK.
Understand. Focus. Build.
We Start With the Business
We don't begin with services. We begin by understanding the business.
Sometimes that leads to a new website. Sometimes it's a clearer proposition, better email marketing or a change in priorities. Sometimes we recommend doing nothing at all.
Because the right commercial decision isn't always the biggest project.
Independent businesses including The Cambridge Cheese Company, Indie Cambridge, Purearth Evolution, Limoncello, Wicked Brick and Trinity Harper have trusted us to help them make better decisions and move their businesses forward.
We don't take that lightly.

What Working Together Feels Like
So, who are we?
Holly Le Claire
Holly has an instinct for how customers behave.
She notices the things other people often miss. The friction in a buying journey, the product that's easy to overlook, the opportunities hidden inside the data.
Her background spans merchandising, eCommerce and marketing, but she's always thinking commercially.

Dominic Le Claire
Dom is usually the person asking awkward questions.
Not because he enjoys them, but because they're often the questions that change the direction of a business.
After more than twenty years in digital, eCommerce and commercial strategy, he spends less time looking at channels and more time helping businesses decide what actually matters.
